Mr. Hartline is a lifelong resident and 1995 graduate of the Penn Cambria School District. He lives in Lilly with his wife and has three children.
Mr. Hartline began his career in education as an elementary school teacher, a position he held for 21 years before moving into administration during the 2020-21 school year. Mr. Hartline served as an elementary school principal in the Hollidaysburg Area School District for four years. During his last year as principal, his school ranked #1 out of 28 schools in Blair County based on state building level scores. Mr. Hartline served as the Act 55 School Safety and Security Coordinator for the Hollidaysburg Area School District as well. In July 2024, Mr. Hartline assumed the role of Superintendent at Penn Cambria.
Mr. Hartline has been an active member of the Penn Cambria community for many years. In addition to being a parent in the district, he was an Assistant Varsity Football Coach for three years. He has served as a Washington Township Supervisor for 17 years and is a member of the Keystone Regional Fire and Rescue Department.

Superintendent’s Performance Standard Objectives 2025-2026
1. Ensure that all communications with staff, Board and community members are clear, concise and transparent.
2. Continually monitor safety and security protocols to ensure all facilities are safe, secure, and conducive to learning.
3. Oversee, manage and facilitate the renovations to district buildings as they relate to the current consolidation and realignment plan.
4. Be a visible and engaged member of the Penn Cambria community through service to the district and community committees, boards, and organizations.
5. Work in collaboration with the Business Administrator to oversee the appropriate implementation of the 2025- 2026 budget and the development of the 2026-2027 budget.
