The 9th grade orientation that was previously scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 28th starting at 5:30pm at the Penn Cambria High School.

Our school is taking part in the 2023 Pennsylvania Youth Survey (PAYS) sponsored by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. The survey will ask questions about the behaviors of students in the 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th grades, including questions about school climate, violence, mental health, bullying, and substance abuse. The information we receive will assist us and our community partners in working to promote mental health and  prevent adolescent drug use and other problem behaviors. We want to ensure that all parents are notified that the survey is being conducted and provide you with as much information about the survey as possible.  As a parent or guardian, you have the right to prohibit your child’s participation. PCMS Students helped make a blanket for a homeless veteran. They dedicated their free time during the day for several days to help someone in need.

Safe2Say Something is an anonymous tip-line a person can use to report information about possible bullying, suicide, violence, etc.

Students are permitted to take backpacks and book bags into classrooms. Teachers may ask students to place bags in a designated location within a room to ease congestion around desks and aisles.

All student absences are treated as unlawful until your child’s school receives a written excuse explaining the absence. This excuse must be given to the school office within three days of the absence. Call the school office if you have a question or concern about your child’s absences and excuses required.
