Federal Programs at Penn Cambria
Penn Cambria currently operates Title 1, Title IIA, and Title IV programs. Families are encouraged to provide input regarding our federal program by attending our annual Title 1 parent meeting, attending various Title 1 functions throughout the year, providing feedback on policies, serving on our district Professional Development Committee, and/or by serving on schoolwide committees in each building.
Penn Cambria Pre-Primary Title 1
Title 1 school-wide funding is being used at PC Pre-Primary to provide a KinderCamp transition activity in August, to provide a full-time and a split-time Reading Specialist, to provide paraeducator interventions, and to provide summer school.
Penn Cambria Intermediate – Title 1
Title 1 school-wide funding is currently used at PC Intermediate School to provide a split-time Reading Specialist and a split-time paraeducator to provide additional small group and individual support for students who are struggling. In addition, summer school is also provided.
Title IIA (pending federal funding)
Title IIA funding is used for class size reduction at PC Pre-Primary to provide five classrooms in first grade, despite decreasing enrollment numbers.
Title IV (pending federal funding)
Title IV monies were transferred to Title IIA to help fund class size reduction.
