As we prepare for the upcoming school year, McIlwain School Bus Lines is asking for the community’s help. McIlwain’s is currently in need of five school bus drivers to fill regular routes for the Penn Cambria School District.
This is a great opportunity for recent retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work that makes a real difference in our community. No previous school bus driving experience is necessary — McIlwain’s will provide the training needed to become a qualified school bus driver.
School bus driving offers a schedule that is difficult to beat. You work during the school year and enjoy nights, weekends, holidays, and summers off. It is a fun and rewarding part-time job that allows you to get to know the students and families you serve while playing an important role in our community. The students are great, and our drivers become an important part of their daily school experience.
McIlwain’s is also currently offering a sign-on bonus for new drivers.
Filling these five open routes is critical to ensuring that Penn Cambria students can get to and from school safely and without interruption. Maintaining appropriate staffing levels also allows us to continue supporting the district with extracurricular transportation for sporting events, field trips, and other student activities.
