BrightBytes Technology Survey
In May, students in technology class, computer class, music class, and/or study hall will be completing a short survey so that we can learn more about our school’s technology use for student learning. Our goal is to gather data that will allow us to better plan for instruction and resources. This BrightBytes survey is anonymous and is being funded through Appalachia IU8. If you would like to view a copy of the survey tool, please contact Mr. Baird.

Written Excuses Required
All student absences are treated as unlawful until your child’s school receives a written excuse explaining the absence. This excuse must be given to the school office within three days of the absence. Call the school office if you have a question or concern about your child’s absences and excuses required.
The Penn Cambria Middle School is continuing the Accelerated Reader (AR) this school year. AR is designed to encourage students to read and to become better readers. Each student is required to earn points each grading period for the books they read. Accelerated Reader points will then count as a portion of the students' marking period grades in Language Arts. Questions can be addressed to your child's Language Arts teacher or to Mrs. Jeanette Black, Curriculum Coordinator.
Save those labels!!
The Middle School is once again collecting Box Tops for Education and Campbell's Labels. Both of these companies contribute money or supplies to our school depending on the amount of labels or box tops we collect. Students can bring the labels into the school office or give them to Mrs. Mento. Be sure to join Box Tops for Education Booster Club. It is easy to sign up and you can print money saving coupons too. Visit their website at www.boxtops4education.com. Your support is appreciated!
