Penn Cambria High School
High School Announcement - 3 pm June 1, 2018
We would like to take a moment to thank our faculty, our students, and our families for your cooperation and patience this afternoon. We take any and all reports of potential threats very seriously. Although today’s threat was not credible, we did act with extra caution to ensure the safety of all students and staff. We adjusted dismissal procedures which did result in a short delay as staff members escorted classes of students to the main entrance for dismissal. We thank our local police for their assistance throughout the afternoon. We wish you all a safe and happy summer!
PC High School Announcement
We wanted to make all families aware of the fact that we have been investigating rumors today, May 11, 2018, related to end-of-the year senior pranks being planned at PCHS. Please know that we will investigate all rumors to ensure that we end the school year without disruption. These pranks could result in discipline as per the student code of conduct and the involvement of local law enforcement if necessary. We would like to help all students end this school year on a positive note. Graduation is cause for celebration, and we ask all students to think carefully about how to best celebrate their high school careers. Thank for your support.
A Local K9 Unit and Police Visit PCHS
Police Officer Don Wyer, his K9 partner, and local police visited PCHS. The dog and the officers completed a walk through of the building during a shelter-in-place drill. The visit was successful and provided the high school community with outstanding news that the building was clean and no drugs were found. PCHS would like to thank the officers for taking the time to make our school and community a safer place.
